Below are some commonly asked questions about using the BGCheckInfo site. If you have a question not listed here, please submit it on the Contact Us page.
To change an account password on the BGCheckInfo site, scroll to the top of any page and click the "My Account" link in the top menu, pictured here:
Clicking the "My Account" link displays the account information page listing the user's current contact information.
Click the "Edit" link at the top of the page to display the "My Account Edit" page allowing the user to update the registered email address, password, notification frequency and timezone:
Please note that account name, physical address, telephone number, title, department and other fields cannot be updated by the user. If these need to change, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
BGCheckInfo lets you set up automatic notifications for whenever a page you are interested in changes.
Registered users who have logged into the site will see a "Subscribe To: This post" link at the bottom of the body content section of each page.
Clicking this link displays the Notifications Settings page where users can set up the notification delivery frequency and format of their choice.
Here's how the Notifications Settings page looks when you click the "Subscribe To: This post" link:
Click the "Send method" dropdown to choose either "Mail" (plain text) or "HTML."
Please note that you must set up your notification settings on the specific page for which you want to receive updates. Setting notifications for one page will not provide you notifications for all pages on the site.
